Cameo was established in 1960 as a sofa and sofa-bed manufacturer in Montreal, Québec. The family-owned business gained success and notoriety through their superior quality sofa-beds. That quality continues till today and has improved through new systems and mechanisms for an even better sleep.


In 2013, the company evolved and rebranded as Cameo Collection. With the new management, Cameo Collection was revamped, and today their showroom features trendy and innovative pieces and accessories. Nowadays, you can shop for both sofa-beds and custom upholstered pieces such as sofas, sectionals, chairs, kitchen benches, headboards, bunk beds, murphy beds and more... They have recently added accessories which are available to purchase as gifts for any occasion or even just to add finishing touches to your own space.


Interior designers and clients love the Cameo Collection concept, because they can design their own pieces without restrictions. A visit to their showroom is truly exciting because you have the option to customize their products to your specifications and needs. You are able to create the exact piece that works best for your space and style and they make the actual process quite simple.


Typically, a designer or client will choose or modify a style from their showroom. The depths of seat and height can be adjusted according to their liking. Then they enter the fabric and leather gallery, where the client can select from over 5,000 high quality fabrics, including the Crypton Home fabrics (stain repellency, easy soil release and odor resistance). The next step is to select the cushion comfort (ranging from hard to soft), stitching (whether it's French stitching or piping) and the colour and type of foot (wood, metal or Lucite). Their frames are made to last from solid kiln-dried wood - and they come with a lifetime warranty.


The advantage of buying at Cameo Collection is that whether it is a custom or standard piece, it could be delivered in 3-4 weeks; also, their products can fit through any doorway, since they can be disassembled and then re-assembled on site. They are especially proud that they manufacture right here in Québec, employing Canadian workers and creating Canadian products. This is beneficial to clients and designers, because in addition to buying a Canadian product, they are paying manufacturers' rates rather than retail prices.


Since September 2016, Valentina Manoukian joined Cameo as the In-House Interior Designer. A graduate of the Interior Design program at Dawson College, the up and coming designer has a knack for combining functionality and style to create spaces that are both inspiring and have a touch of flair. She says, "I strongly believe that a space only becomes perfect when it truly reflects the individual and their lifestyle".


In the Fall of 2017, Cameo Collection will be expanding the showroom to feature many new products. Cameo has always been known for its high and long lasting quality.
